DIY Jade on a string necklace

I hope you haven't been holding your breath, but here I am back from a refreshing trip to the mountains with a new DIY.

I had totally forgotten how much fun you could have on the After-ski and I haven't had a Jagerbomb since I was tricked to do one my first week in Canada (and now I know why).

Anyway over to the the DIY:

This is totally one of those 5 min DIYs that look amazing! I love it, alone or stacked!

You will need:
Lobster clasp
Jump rings
Beads (I love these jade-ish once)
Thin chain
Metal wire
Long nose pliers
Cutting pliers

You want to cut two equally long pieces of chain, measure them to get the desired length of your necklace.

I actually used the little jewelry making wire that has a circle at the end (what are these things called anyway?? ) UPDATE: "eye pins", but if you don’t have that, just use normal wire and shape it into a circle with pliers and attach to a piece of chain.

Add your beads, I used 7 for both of mine. It depends on the width of your beads and how long you want it.

Attach the end of the wire to your second piece of chain with pliers. Try to make it as close to the beads as possible. Snipp of whats left of whire if there is more.

Fasten the clasp with a jump ring, on both ends of the chain.

ta ta, ready to wear!

Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post. I choose the supplies for this post myself at Perlehuset without having to pay for it. All opinions are my own. I would never feature projects that I didn’t love, created and wore myself.
