Read MoreSo this isn't really your typical easter DIY, but the internet has so many good once so why compete! (Side note: Ill be posting some of my fav on my insta here!)
I normally like projects that are max 30min (no patience!!), however over easter break, you might have some extra time for a longer project (about 1h) and that's where this DIY comes in. After seeing all the spring fashion with the embroidery and patched, I knew I had so many things that could use an update. Sometimes, just updating a piece gives it the "new feel" we crave, so in my head, Im saving money by not shopping and also not buying anything new aka being green! HELLO, good conscience!
The second post in the DIY101 series is hand embroidery, more specifically chain stitches. The DIY101 series is about learning basic crafting skills, that you can use to make cool shit!! Check out the first one in the DIY101 here if you want to learn how to make a tassel.
So chain stitches eh? Hand embroidery sounds so retro but seeing the spring fashion this year, embroidery and patches are HOT, so I suggest you get on it and update some of your closet favorites. There are obviously a ton of different embroidery stitches you can use, chain stitches being one. They are perfect for letters and outlining simple shapes, and super easy to make.
