Kate Spade Inspired Bangle

Remember this post about the Kate Spade bangles?
Well, while I am out enjoying Paris I thought I'd show you how to make one!
What are your plans for Easter? I just love this holiday, spring is just coming around and life is just so much better now that the snow is melting. YEAH! :)

DIY Kate Spade inspired bangle, DIY bracelets (too come)

All you will need is some string, a bangle, a jump ring and a charm.
Twist the string around the bangle until you are half way, add the jump ring with the charm attached, keep going till you are all the way around and tie of!! I added a seahorse since I am wishing for summer, but there are so many color and charm options here! go crazy!!!

Woppi, you have yourself a new fav accessory!

 Try it yourself!!

one question, what did you do with the knot, where did you leave it on the bangle, I assume some place random, but just to be sure :)

    1. Thanks!
I made sure to tie it on the inside of the bangle, that way you can't see it when you wear it. I also sealed it with some clear nail polish, just to be sure.

  4. This is so cute and amazing I am totally going to try and make this. But one question, did you tie the strings before you started twisting the strings around the bracelet? If so how?

    1. No, actually i didnt because i wanted as little knots as possible, so i helt the end with my hand while swirling. It was sort of a struggle to get it to work. But that way you can tie the two ends together once you have done the whole bangle :)
Let me knwo how it goes :)

  6. Did this DIY and it turned out great! I messed up the knot and it's sloppy at the knot, but otherwise very lovely. Wish I could post a pic (:

    1. the seahorse is from a sewing store in Trondheim (up North in Norway), I tried to search amazone for you this: http://www.amazon.com/Plated-Pewter-Ocean-Seahorse-23-5mm/dp/B001R6FA92/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&qid=1338151108&sr=8-17 is cute and not expensive. If not they would prob have something like it in a craft or beading store :) hope you find one you like! :)

  9. How much string do you need for this? I'm just worried that I won't have enough after I get to the end :-) Thank you! I can't wait to make one! The one you made is lovely!

  10. I would like to know how much string should be used. I wouldn't want to get to the end and not have enough to finish. Thanks!
